#Scatterbees was started in 2019 by artist Ian Sklarsky to keep the conversation going about the decline of the honeybee population. Each coin that was given out kept an interest in educating people about honeybees and their friends; bumblebees, carpenter bees, sweat bees, and many more. A healthy hive is equaled to around 40,000 bees, and so Sklarsky has decided to create that many #scatterbees to be hidden and given out among the worlds inhabitants. So far over 7,500 have been placed over 7 countries with hopes of spreading the word to the world. Each bee coin has the hashtag #scatterbees which connects to the IG account with the same name. Daily information and facts will be uploaded and YOU can place and hide your scatterbees to educate your network of friends!
