V.H.YESS!

Coming MARCH 10th 2024

Ian Sklarsky is back with another installation to talk about the significance of renting a movie. The end result being a book that describes the rentals and the feelings attached, V.H.yeSS! will hold a single paragraph from the renters' perspective. Once the movie has been chosen and rented, the form will be filled out afterwards and upon arrival back to the V.H.yeSS! Storefront will be documented for a retelling to the world about how we are lacking the choice and oppurtunity to enjoy a single movie these days.

ONE RENTAL PER NIGHT. RENTAL COMES WITH VCR * HDMI RCA CABLE INPUT needed on TV for viewing. * CASH VCR DEPOSIT OF $100 DUE upon choice of rental, returned when VCR is returned the next day. *

Ah, the nostalgic charm of going to a VHS store and picking out a movie with your significant other! It's a concept that takes many of us back to a simpler time before the era of streaming services and digital downloads.

Picture this: you and your partner strolling through the small library of a cozy local video rental store, the shelves lined with colorful VHS tapes neatly stacked in rows. The air is filled with the faint scent of popcorn and the excitement of possibilities as you peruse the titles, each cover promising a different adventure or emotion.

There's a certain joy in the tactile experience of browsing through physical copies of movies, flipping through the boxes to read the synopsis, and admiring the artwork on the covers. You might find yourselves engaged in lively discussions, debating between genres or reminiscing about old favorites.

As you make your selection, there's a sense of anticipation and shared anticipation as you head to the checkout counter, eagerly anticipating the movie night ahead. Perhaps you grab some snacks or order a pizza to complete the experience.

Back home, you cozy up on the couch together, the glow of the TV illuminating the room as you slide the tape into the V.H.yeSS! VCR. There's a satisfying click as it starts to play, and you settle in to enjoy the movie, wrapped up in each other's company.
